Pair of Chinese carved wood corbels, circa 1800. Traditional Ming style angled moldings and ornamentation, highlighted by a pair of foo lions. Traces of paint remain on the original surface. Top to bottom, each bracket measures 22 inches at the back tapering to 20 inches at the front. The extension is 18 inches and the width is 4 inches. This piece is on display in our gallery at Clock Tower Antiques Center and can be seen in-person by visiting 824 E Main Street, Branford, CT. 06405.
