Set of three matching Edwin Austin Abbey etchings on rice paper c1885. Edwin Austin Abbey was born in 1852 and died in 1911. This set dates from 1885. Two are signed and one is not but all three have their original backs with the image tiles stamped on them. One says Tony ( Apart to Mrs. Hardcastel) "Then why don't you tell her so at once? " "was it well done sir. To assist in rendering me ridiculous? " and "Here behind this screen." Each frame measures 13 inches wide by 10 and three quarter inches high. Each image measures 6 and one half inches by 9 and one half inches
