Vintage "Diplomat" library globe with touch-light, late Cold War (1947-1991) era. Made by Replogle Globes, Inc., U.S.A. The enormous orb is 32 inches in diameter (nearly 100 inch circumference). It stands 4 feet high including the magnificent mahogany stand. The stand has four carved legs supporting a horizon ring and bottom cross-stretchers with turned pedestal supporting the globe’s brass meridian ring. Excellent condition with some very minor wear.
