Littelfield Parsons and Co. original quarter plate daguerreotype case. Measures 3.75 by 4.75 inches, excellent condition. The inserts are easily removed allowing the insertion of one's own favorite photographs inside. Littelfield Parsons and Co. were in Florence, Massachusetts, between 1858 and 1866. The Parsons & Co. was the sole manufacturers of Union Army cases with embracing riveted hinge, patented, October 14, 1856, & April 21, 1857.
