United Firemens Insurance Company Philadelphia plaque c1860. See Footprints of Assurance by Alwin E. Bulau page 89 number 315 to see and example of this Fire Plaque. 11 and one half inches by 9 inches with raised U F and a old model steam fire engine in high relief, beveled edge. The wheels have eight spokes and the policy number 7401 was issued on July 8 1875. Three nail holes. Some traces of the old paint are still on the surface.
