Italian baroque carved walnut credenza or buffet with two doors inset with corner moldings, below two drawers; all mounted with brass knobs; the whole resting on majestic carved paw feet. The frieze with dental carved molding and two front doors is flanked by intricate scalloped carving. The proportions are graceful and elegant. The patina of the walnut is rich and warm. The interior has three shelves. Made in the 17th to very early 18th century. Measures 37.5 inches wide, 14.5 inches deep and 38 inches high. Wonderful estate condition, some very minor old repairs.
