Vintage 20th century Arts and Crafts era aluminum and bloodwood stand or pedestal in the style of Frank Lloyd Wright. Bloodwood is an exotic wood that is sometimes referred to as cardinal wood, for its beautiful deep rose color. The wood is very dense, with a tight, fine, mostly linear grain. This elegant stand is very strong; it can easily support a heavy piece of sculpture or large plant. The solid bloodwood top measures 11 inches across and 2 inches thick. The pedestal itself is 47 inches high and 12 inches across. Artisan hand crafted but unsigned.
I got a chair from my grandmother with carved dragons on it. After searching everywhere, I found the same chair on your website. I thought it looked Asian, but had no idea how valuable it is! I almost sold it to a friend for a hundred bucks. I am so glad I used your site to learn how much it's worth! Your price guide is such a great tool! Thanks Again!!
