Joseph Frank Copeland (1872-1957) landscape watercolor depicting a downward view of a village lane with houses and trees against distant blue hills. Signed J. Frank Copeland lower right. The back bears an inscription that reads: "J. Frank Copeland teacher at Phila. Musum School of Industrial Art in 1942 gave it to me in trade for one I did of cousin Walter Wright's red house on Pratt Street Essex CT."
