Early American New England Queen Anne tiger or curly maple fiddle back side chair c1740. Excellent condition and pronounced allover curl. Wooden pin construction, removable seat, and cabriole legs ending in full cap feet. An old handwritten note on the back of the chair names a prior owner. The chair measures 39.5 inches high, 17.5 inches high to the seat, 20 inches wide at the knees, 19 wide at the front and 15 inches deep. Strong and comfortable. Just in from a Lyme, CT, estate.
