Kubota Shumann, aka Kubo, (Japanese, 1757-1820). "Summer Evening" ink and color on silk, depicting a courtesan or geisha and her attendant walking beneath cherry blossoms in the evening. The image measures 11 in x 4.5 in; the frame measures 15.25 x 8.75 inches. Very good original condition.
