Pair 19th century American cast iron architectural roaring lion masks. This is a true matched pair, just found in an important CT estate. Each measures 12.5 inches high, 11 inches across and 8.5 inches deep. The pair is in wonderful condition with no repairs, cracks, or damages. They retain a rich old patina with traces of original paint. One lion has an original casting flaw on the side of its face, shown in the detail images.

I got a chair from my grandmother with carved dragons on it. After searching everywhere, I found the same chair on your website. I thought it looked Asian, but had no idea how valuable it is! I almost sold it to a friend for a hundred bucks. I am so glad I used your site to learn how much it's worth! Your price guide is such a great tool! Thanks Again!!
