Unusually large vintage French copper preserves pan with intact tin lining and iron handles. Hand hammered, 19th century. Pan is is stamped 45 for its diameter in centimeters, which is 18.5 inches. It is 4.5 inches high. Across both handles, it is 21.5 inches wide. It is also stamped by the Clermont maker and with the letters HC. It is a very heavy guage copper and weighs 20 pounds. It would also make a wonderful braising pan.
I got a chair from my grandmother with carved dragons on it. After searching everywhere, I found the same chair on your website. I thought it looked Asian, but had no idea how valuable it is! I almost sold it to a friend for a hundred bucks. I am so glad I used your site to learn how much it's worth! Your price guide is such a great tool! Thanks Again!!
