Antique portrait of a Gentleman. This "antique portrait painting" is very well executed but unsigned. It was painted in the eighteenth century. The gentleman has a pleasant face with great detail.This portrait is in excellent condition on its original stretcher. The canvas has been professionally cleaned. Canvas measures 25 inches by 30 inches,the frame measures 30 and one quarter inches by 35 and one quarter inches.The portrait was a bequest to the present owner from the estate of Mrs. Bayfille C Clark of Somerset Bermuda. Mrs Clark inherited the painting from her mother,Mrs Herbert Davis of Nantucket. Mrs Davis was the sister of the late Charles C Mott a founder of the GM corporation.
