Queen Anne style mahogany lowboy attributed to Harold Margolis. This lowboy is entirely handmade from book matched mahogany. The front and the drawer slides are mortised into the case. Each drawer has fine hand cut dovetails. Original finish. This is an exact duplicate of an American Queen Anne lowboy circa 1780. One very minor repair to the cap of one foot. Deep shell carved single drawer front. Hand made brass pulls. Measures 41 inches wide, 21 and one half inches deep, and 24 inches high. This piece is unsigned, but we believe it was made by the Margolis shop in Hartford, CT. The early Margolis pieces had paper labels that fell off over time.
