Thomas F Cartier French born in Marseilles, France in 1879 D1943.Roaring Panther bronze sculpture on soap stone base, signed Cartier in the stone. Measures 16 inches high, 24 inches long with a 8.5 inches wide base and 4.5 inches wide at the sculptures center. Rich old original patina. Weights 79 lbs. Thomas Francois Cartier studied under George Gardet and started exhibiting at the Salon in 1904, winning an honorable mention in the Salon in 1908 and a gold medal in 1927.
