This hunting print is of two pointers finding a pheasant in a field. The print measures 18 by 33 and one half inches and the old original wood frame measures 40 by 25 and one half inches. Excellent condition signed lower left.Léon Danchin was born in Lille in 1887 and died in 1936. Danchin studied sculpture at L'École des Beaux Art in Paris and was accepted by the Salon des Artists from the age of sixteen. Without abandoning his sculpture, he devoted himself to drawing, painting, watercolours and engraving. His specific interest was country scenes with attention to dogs.
