This period American country pine painted deacon's bench was made in Pennsylvania and dates from 1780. This settee retains its original paint which is a lovely muted light gray. The single board pine seat has a scrubbed pine look from all the years of wear. We have had this deacons bench completely reglued so it very strong, it is also quite comfortable. This American pine deacons bench also has its original rose head hand made nails which we show in one of the pictures provided. This is one of the most original deacons benches we have ever had. Measures 8 feet wide,14 inches deep, 34 inches to the top of its back and 27 inches to the top of its arms and 17 inches to the top of the seat.
