This American Art Pottery Rookwood vase was made by Mathew Andrew Daley. The impressed marks on the bottom of the vase read MAD 1185 R Rookwood 54 B.The R means it was made with red clay and MAD are the initials of Matthew Andrew Daly, one of Rookwood's top designers who worked there from 1882 to 1903. This vase depicts golden yellow Irises. Thee irish flowers are sitting in the grass with a lovely brown glaze.
