This piece of antique "western furniture" is a plate, or dish rack. Made in the Southwest, Texas, Arizona, Mexico, or similar area, this "early plate rack" measures 50 and one quarter inches wide overall, is 8 and three quarter inches deep overall, and stands 21 and three eighths inches tall overall. The bottom shelf is 11 and one half inches high and the top shelf is 5 and three quarters inches deep. Made of pine, with wide hand dovetailed top board.This antique American South Western plate rack still has the original paint, which can be seen in the accompanying photographs.
