There are 4 images of this item.

Antique English canterbury. Victorian, made circa 1860. Canterburies originated during the 18th century, when paper periodicals were introduced. The open-carved side panels feature fleur-de-lit, tulip, and scroll motifs. By tradition, English cabinetmakers did not usually sign their furniture until about the 20th century. Sometimes when a label is found, it is that of the retailer, not the maker. This canterbury is quite lovely, and in very nice condition
