Antique 19th Century Carved Fruitwood Library Table. This antique "library table" is derived from those of the Tuscan High Renaissance. It measures 53 and one half inches long by 28 and one quarter inches wide, and the carved heads project another 1 and three quarters inches. It is 31 inches high. This table has carved rams head corners, and carved scholars heads along the flat edges. There are 7 fluted columns, and a double cross stretcher base. Mid to late 19th century. This table is in very good condition. The wood is a medium light honey brown with a lovely hand rubbed patina.
