Born Robert Clark in New Castle, Indiana, in 1928, Robert Indiana adopted the name of his native state as a pseudonymous surname early in his career.This print is in excellent condition and just came to in from the Dun and Bradstreet art collection. Contemporary artist, Robert Indiana. Credit: "300 Years of American Art" by Michael David Zellman. Has works in the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Albirght-Knox Gallery, Buffalo, NY, Famous for images of the spelling of the word, "LOVE". See page 1683 in "Who was Who in American Art, 1564-1975" by Falk.
