Antique epergnes and centerpieces,Antique Victorian epergne painted Glass and silver plated Compote manufactured and Plated by Reed and Barton 3630. Persian Peacock Pattern. This "epergne" or table "centerpiece" has the most beautiful deep aqua marine color with a ground top that is finished with a gold leaf. The pattern is one of birds and flowers that is hand painted and fired onto the glass. The condition of this Victorian center piece is excellent. Dates from the late 19th century in America.This centerpiece measures 6 and one eighth inches high by 13 and one half inches from the end of one handle to the other. The glass bowl measures 9 inches wide and 2 and one quarter inches high.
